Our first issue comprises five articles on various
subjects: blindness and its relationship to touch, sociology and anthropology, the
place of speech via Robert Morris, the anachronism of materials, and the fate
of images in Chris Marker's work. lt also features an even more unusual intervention
by Olivier Foulon. Invited to "turn the texts into pictures”, he has responded
politely but mischievously by questioning the very circumstances of this request, i.e. the concept of
address. Rather than fulfilling the articles’ demands,
he echoes their calls; rather than closing them in on themselves, he strives to
open them up, thereby making his contribution to a debate that will never cease
to be a history of contemporary art.
